Description
'Eden' is an apple cultivar developed by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, from a cross between 'Linda' and 'Jonamac'. The tree is semi-vigorous with a spreading to drooping habit and bears fruit on spurs and shoots. It is particularly notable for its firm, crisp, juicy and highly aromatic flesh and its exceptional resistance to browning after cutting.

White to pale pink apple blossoms. Flowering begins approximately five days before 'McIntosh'. Blooming time : from may to june
Fruits
Medium to large fruit, with dark red skin over a greenish-yellow background. Flesh is white, firm, crisp, juicy and fine-textured, with a sweet, acidic and aromatic flavour. The flesh shows virtually no browning after cutting. Fruit remains attached to the tree after maturity and can be used fresh, in salads, for drying, juice and cider.
