Description
This high-yielding kiwi variety, rich in tropical flavors, produces medium-sized round fruits, olive green with a slight reddish blush, growing in dense clusters and offering excellent storage capacity. The vine begins to bear fruit in its third year, eventually producing up to 50 pounds annually at full maturity. For proper pollination, a male plant of the Meader type is required.
Maintenance:
Remove dead, damaged, or diseased stems in early spring. Then prune the secondary shoots, leaving 3 to 4 buds, as flowering occurs on the current season’s growth. This climbing plant requires a very sturdy support, such as a strong trellis.
