Description
Ohio’s Treasure is a distinct black raspberry cultivar that produces fruit on both primocanes and floricanes. It bears fruit from overwintering floral buds on current-year canes, as well as from long basal floral clusters in the spring, resulting in excellent productivity over an extended harvest season.
Harvest begins in late summer and can continue until the first frosts, offering high yields and well-developed fruit. Starting in August, fruit can be harvested every 3 to 5 days for approximately eight weeks.
The deep black berries are firm, highly aromatic, and rich in vitamins and phytonutrients, as is common with dark-colored fruits.
The plants are cold-hardy and well-suited to zones 3 through 8.
