Description
'Boreal Beast' is very hardy, vigorous, and upright, producing medium-sized, dark blue camerises. Boreal Beast stands out particularly for its excellent flavor, remarkable aroma, and relatively late ripening, which extends the camerise picking season. The fruits are firm, oval-shaped, and detach relatively easily from the plant. It acts as a pollinator for other cultivars in the Boreal series, notably ‘Boreal Beauty’ and 'Boreal Blizzard.'

Flowering
Small pale yellow to yellowish-white flowers produced in pairs in early to mid-spring. The flowering period is relatively long and overlaps with several compatible haskap cultivars. Blooming time : from may to beginning of june
Fruits
Dark blue berries with a light waxy bloom. Berries average approximately 1.6–2.0 g, are firm and mostly oval-shaped. They have an excellent sweet-tart flavour with a distinctive aroma and pleasant aftertaste. Suitable for fresh eating, freezing and processing.
