Description
Boreal Blizzard is renowned as the largest commercially available camberberry. It is also known as one of the sweetest camberberries. Its fruit is tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It ripens around early to mid-July. Boreal Blizzard is also a variety that is resistant to downy mildew and sunscald. As with most cameris trees in general, the plant’s vigor is enhanced by soil that is rich in organic matter and well-drained. For pollination, it is best to avoid ‘Aurora’ as a primary partner, but several other varieties, such as ‘Boreal Beast,’ are well-suited for pollination.

Fruits
Dark blue berries with a light waxy bloom. Berries average approximately 1.9–2.0 g, are firm and mostly oval-shaped. They have an excellent sweet-tart flavour with a distinctive aroma and pleasant aftertaste. Suitable for fresh eating, freezing and processing.
