Description
An extremely cold-hardy Canadian apple cultivar developed by Dr. C. R. Ure at the Morden Research Station in Manitoba. Parkland originated from a cross between 'Rescue' and 'Melba' and was released in 1979. It was selected specifically for production in severe winter climates and is particularly valued in the Canadian Prairies and Alaska.

Flowering
White to pinkish-white spring blossoms. Cross-pollination with another compatible cultivar is recommended for reliable production.
Fruits
Small to medium-sized, round-oblate apples, approximately 6–7 cm in diameter. The skin is greenish-yellow with a red wash or stripes. The flesh is creamy white with a slight green tint, crisp, juicy and moderately acidic with a pleasant sweet-tart flavour. Good for fresh eating, cooking, sauce, juice and preserves. Keeps for approximately 6–8 weeks in suitable storage.
