Description
An extremely cold-hardy apple cultivar developed at the Morden Research Station in Manitoba. It resulted from a cross between 'Rescue' and 'Melba' and was released in 1979. Parkland is particularly valuable for regions with severe winters and is considered one of the hardiest apple cultivars available. It produces small to medium-sized apples with good eating quality.

Fruits
Small to medium-sized apples, approximately 6–7 cm in diameter and around 100 g. The skin is yellow-green with a red blush covering part of the fruit. The flesh is white to creamy-white, crisp, juicy and pleasantly sweet-tart. Good for fresh eating, cooking, baking, preserves and canning. Storage is relatively short, generally up to about 6–8 weeks while gradually losing crispness.
